Wave of Hope Homeschool Enrichment: Pioneering a New Era in Homeschool Enrichment
In the ever-evolving landscape of education, Wave of Hope Homeschool Enrichment stands at the forefront of innovation, offering a unique blend of homeschool enrichment and community-based learning. As we prepare to open our doors in Greeley, we’re excited to share our vision and the incredible opportunities awaiting your family.
A Homeschool Revolution in Northern Colorado
The face of education is changing rapidly. A recent study by the Learning Counsel predicts that public education will lose 16 million enrollments by 2030 as parents turn to alternative options like homeschooling. At Wave of Hope, we’re not just responding to this trend – we’re shaping the future of education.
Our executive director, Tonya Van Beber, M.Ed., puts it best: “This is a phenomenal place to live. I’ve been all over the world, and this is definitely my home. And I’d love to be able to give back to it.”
What Sets Us Apart
- Tailored Enrichment Programs: Our K-5 and 6-12 enrichment programs run on Wednesdays and Fridays respectively, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. These programs are designed to complement your homeschooling efforts, offering hands-on experiences that bring learning to life.
- Community Integration: We don’t just teach – we explore. Our programs take students to high-interest local locations, showcasing the best of Weld County and beyond. From agriculture to retail, arts to sciences, we’re connecting classroom concepts to real-world applications.
- Flexible Scheduling: Enroll for 1 to 12 hours per week, with a maximum of 4 hours per day. This flexibility allows you to tailor the program to your family’s unique needs and schedule.
- Innovative Learning Spaces: Our Greeley site boasts five large classrooms, a traditional playground, a culinary kitchen, a greenhouse for hands-on agriculture experience, and even a tiny home construction project that gives back to veterans and the houseless population.
- Family-Centered Approach: We believe in the power of community. Our learning cooperative brings together educators, industry experts, and parents to create a rich, supportive learning environment.
Our Mission and Values
At Wave of Hope, we’re committed to engaging homeschool students in quality, enrichment experiences grounded in physical location, family, and community. Our focus is on student engagement with adventure in natural environments and academic support, always guided by the principles of truth, beauty, and goodness.
As Tonya Van Beber asks, “Is the activity going to help the students live their best life and really reach for the stars and be hopeful?” This question drives everything we do, from curriculum design to community partnerships.
